Greetings all! The name is Doug, but I go by Elricsfate.
I was into saltwater about 15 years ago, and I have been out of it since. Obviously much has changed. So I have joined this community in the hopes of finding some sound advice as I dive back in.
What do I hope to get out of it? Well, a hand getting started. But over time I hope to go from the guy asking questions to one of the guys answering them.
In real life I'm one of those overpaid Government IT contractors. So I'm not afraid to spend some money, or get into some new technology.
Right now I am in the process of completing a 180g DT and I have a 75 with water in it, that I plan to use to QT my new fish. Something tells me that my "QT" tank will become a second DT, and I will wind up scrambling to find a spot to stick a third (smaller) aquarium for quarantine purposes.
I've been hanging out on Reef Central for a month or so, but more information is always better than less information. I came across this site and decided to join here as well.
I look forward to getting to know some of you, and to growing in the community!
