Diatom bloom on 2 month tank, normal or a problem?

Hi all,
Im trying to be patient as my 220 goes through its stages and not rush things. At this point it has been running stable for 2 months with no ammonia/nitrites and low nitrates present before h20 change. Currently there are only 5 tiny chromis and 2 fire fish in the tank. The Protein skimmer is running, live sand/rock growing, chaeto in the fuge... and brown algae everywhere for the last week or two. Ive been reading as much as I can (which may be part of the problem) because Im getting 50/50 that its normal vs needs "fixed."

So I added some snails today as that seemed a "middle of the road" choice. 6 Florida ceriths (about 1/2 to 1 inch), 4 Nassarius (1/2 inch each) and 6 Nerite snails (1/2- 1 inch). I didnt want to over do it but looking at this tiny handful of creatures and my 6 foot tank... Idk if they will even make a dent?

Is this normal for a 2 month old tank that will eventually settle or do I need to fix something? The lights are on 8-10 hrs a day, T5s, the light on the fuge is on an opposite timer for 6 hrs a night, the fish are fed minimally, temp 78/79, Sal 1.022- 1.024, all the levels are fine, the bio load is obviously minimal, i use instant ocean salt... i vaccumed the sand at the front of the tank today (see pics) but ive read opinions on not to do that, to get a Kole tang, to leave the lights on longer with more lighting, to just let it be, to get phosphate removers, to add hermits, etc etc etc! What to do?!!!!

Thank you!!!!
