Help!
I'm fairly new to saltwater tanks and have had mine set up for a few months. I recently got a Blue Linckia Sea Star about a week and a half ago. I acclimated him per the instructions and the first day he climbed all over the tank. For the next few days he sat in one spot on the glass, I assume because he was enjoying the algae there, and has since been climbing around on the rocks.
Tonight as he was crawling over the rocks and I could see his undersides I noticed that his little leg "tentacles" seem to be falling out from the center! It's like the tubes that go down his arms have come out and are just dangling out of the center. He is still moving and has twisted himself halfway upside down. I poked him gently and he is still moving. What is going on? Is he dying?? Last week I did pull him off the glass gently so I could do a water change without exposing him to air (he was towards the top), but he was fine after that.
Has anyone seen this before? What should I do? :(
