Been busy at work on a new project. Jerry, my friend from Colorado, decided the travel was too much and found a job back home. Chicago was a mess yesterday, so I rerouted at 7 am as soon as the opportunity was given. Jerry had a three flight deal, but hopefully made it home. He tried to shoot the moon and keep his flight.
Dealing with roofing contractors today. They are slightly above defense attorneys in the pecking order of overall ethics, but in the same order of magnitude as car salesmen. My sailing buddy in Cleveland practices law as a contractor attorney. I bought him some refreshments in exchange for two minutes of legal advice. Apparently a contract full of terms like TBD, RCV and other acronyms is not a contract. The insurance company already paid me, and you would think contractors could look at the 8 line items concerning the roof and say work x costs y.
My boss left, so I am officially an orphan for a while. Guess there will be a replacement at some point, and he will figure out he has a man in CLE.
