Lobo survival

Hi, I've just finished cycling a tank for my dad. I went away for two weeks and asked him to go and buy a few more pieces of live rock. He went to an LFS that I'd never been to before.. Somehow they've sold him this Lobo coral with the live rock..

My dad wouldn't have known, and so it's been in the tank, most likely struggling more, even though Nitrate Cycle was finished were at a good state yesterday when I tested. All three Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate were at 0.

I don't have testers for other things yet, but I've been using a good salt with nutrients with my RO water, so I don't think it's completely deficient.

I read some posts about rescuing it. It appears that some of the mouths (to the left) aren't struggling as much as the others (to the right).

So I have a few questions and would appreciate your help:
1. Is the original colour this brown red colour? or has it lost it?
2. Is it too difficult to revive this? How do I know whether it's still alive... or if it's completely dead?
3. Should this still be in the tank, since it may die and release stuff that spikes the ammonia..

It has been a couple of weeks since my dad bought it, and I'm unsure if the better option is to return it to the LFS.

Thanks for your help.

Paul
