I think I have two aptasia anemones now. I have no idea how they got there. I have not added rock in 10 months or a year. No coral for about 8 months either. And I have none now.
94 gallon, corner bow
25 gallong wet/dry sump
venturi skimmer
UV sterilizer
1-2" sandbed
about 40lb LR
Two ocellaris clowns.
Three blue chromis.
Had a flame, a cleaner and three purple eye anthias but they died while I was out of town and the house got too hot.
Nitrate: 10-15
Nitrite: 0
Ammonia: 0
pH: 8.2
Sal: 1.0235
I bought two cleaner shrimp and a diamond watchman goby yesterday (I had a DW goby before and he jumped out - I have learned that lesson). Can't find the goby... he was active last night initially.
BUT---- now I think I have two aptasia anemones... one on either side of the tank on rocks. Small... not unattractive. Should I kill them? And how? Pics attached. Hard to see in the pic... but they are completely translucent (like sponges I used to get) and wave in the water... how did they get there?
