Just started checking Mg with the Salifert Mg test kit and just want to check the steps and results with you guys because the results are hard to believe. 2ml tank water, add 5 drops mg1, then 1 spoon mg2, swirl 10 secs. The 1ml syringe is taking the whole 1 ml to turn the sample blue. According to the chart that means my Mg is 30 ppm?? Am I missing something? Should not Mg be coming in with my salt or top off?
