Im looking to do a double herbie overflow on a 46 gallon tank...so the trick here is that I need two overflow boxes, what kind of overflow boxes would work for this type of setup? Im new to this so if im not explaining myself correctly or im leaving out info, please let me know...I want to help you help me lol

New to the site. 150g Reef tank is 7 months old now!
Hi everybody,
First off, I would like to thank the hoards of people that have helped me get established already. I have lurked for the last 8-10 months over posts from years ago to try and get myself as ready as I can be.
I am a high school science teacher who had started keeping fish last year. When I had issues, I had an overwhelming amount of students who kept fish, which came as a surprise. One of them in particular, has a father that works at Aqueon, which is headquartered nearby in Franklin WI. He saw us struggling, and set us up with our beautiful 150g tank.
I dove in head first into the hobby, and absolutely love taking care of our fish, and take a huge amount of pride in keeping our tank as nice as possible.
We currently sit with 2 Ocellaris Clowns, 1 Lawnmower Blenny, 2 Firefish Goby's, 1 Dwarf Flame Angel, 1 Sailfin Tang, 1 Lubbocks Wrasse, 1 Cleaner Skunk Shrimp, and 1 Peppermint Shrimp for the livestock.
I have just started to "reef" my tank, and added a Green Bubble Tip Anenome (still waiting for my clowns to pair - 1.5 weeks in), Brown Star Polyp, Red Mushroom Coral, 2 Montipora, and 1 Pulsing Xenia head. An order of more corals shows up tomorrow (polyps, zoas, fans).
I am going to be adding copepods within the month also as I'd like to get a population going sometime in the near future.
I am extremely excited to see my tank evolve, and am looking forward to making friends on TRT to keep in touch with. All my fish and corals will be young, and that is both because the tank is new, and because I sincerely enjoy watching them grow!

Skimmate production
Hello everyone, I have had a Tunze 9004 skimmer on my tank for about two months.
Initially I expected some fine tuning and I have noticed it is very susceptible to water level as its a surface skimmer. I think I have it dialed in as it's producing a small amount of skimmate.
My question is the skimmate I'm getting is almost clear. The bottom of the cup and middle section where the foam is produced is covered in a light brown film that I wash off each time I empty the cup but I'm not seeing brown or tea colored skimmate.
This may be due to bioload it is a BB, 29g with 2-one inch clowns, assorted hermits/snails and one skunk cleaner.
I also clean it with a 10%-15% WC weekly with siphoning, run filter floss after the cleaning to remove detritus that gets disturbed and not removed (I usually run a powerhead over the rocks to dislodge anything weekly).
So maybe it's just clean and there isn't much to remove or do I not have the skimmer as dialed in as I think?
I can easily overflow the cup in 30 seconds by just opening up the air valve all the way or filling the tank more than it likes.

Can a recent aquascape cause these problems?
I have a 20L lps tank that for the last 5 months has not necessarily thriving yet it didnt have any visual problems except a few species of lps that did slightly recede. I recently had to change alot of the aquascape to retrieve a sleeper goby and peppermint shrimp out of my DT. In the process i had to move a couple of the rocks that were on the sandbed, causing some milky white substance in the water column near the base of rock, some chalky dirt looking detritus fell out of certain rocks aswell
Could this be the reason for my ph levels and alk levels to drop in my tank? Im trying to figure why my calcium and magnesium stay stable but my alk drops sometimes all the way to a 6. I keep using buffer (that says also raises alk) and ph will still not go past 8. Most of the time it reads 7.8. I have cyano starting to form on sand/overflow box. The last day or two small bubbles have been forming on live rock and a rust colored slime on the sandbed. Im taking precautions incase it is dinos, siphoning what i can see and i turned lights off yesterday, left the 6500 t8 on my chaeto in sump. What would be your best approach at stabilizing ph/alk and what should be done in terms of water changes and should i buffer my top off water from now on?
