Anemones

2nd question if the day. We have 2 anemones, one long tentacle, and a rose tipped bubble, they have good color and size, but have moved behind our live rock structure. I have read they shouldn't be moved once they find their happy place, we'd rather be able to enjoy them. We have 2 small powerheads- one high one low. Both anemones seem to prefer the side opposite the heater, and high head. Does current play that much of a factor? Would it be too disturbing to try switching the power heads?

Clown fish help

We have a 45 gal tank, live rock / sand.... have had our Ocellaris for little over a month. This morning we awoke to both our clowns floating near the surface. Do clown fish sleep like this? We hurried and check all levels PH, Ammonia, Nitrates and Nitrites, and salinity, all were normal. This is the 1st indication of anything going goofy in our tank. We've only ever noticed them doing their nocturnal activities down among the rock.

Wired Wednesday

Just got back from my Boston trip. My little consulting effort ended up with being asked to run this on the second day. I have about 13 weeks ahead with 2 to 5 days travel each week to Boston, Missouri and North Carolina at a minimum. There will be other trips following that to other places we have not figured out yet.

Too wired to sleep, so coffee is on along with a sampling of the large array of baked goods Denise made.

Enjoy your hump day. :rimshot:

Adding dedicated circuit help!!

Ok I need to run a dedicated circuit for my 180 reef. The 1200 watts of metal halide plus the huge return pump and two protein skimmers are to much. My main question is how do I get the wire to my tank that is on the opposite side of the house at least 150 to 200 feet away ? There is no attic above the tank it is a two story house and directly above the tank it's nothing but roof? Am I mistaken ? Is there a attic that I'm just not aware of?

Replacing crushed coral bed with sand bed

I have added a Yasha goby to a coral bed tank. I addressed this issue on another forum. I am going to replace my crushed coral bed with sand. How should I go about this? Should I use live sand? Will this stress my fish? Should I remove all crushed coral? Do I need to remove inhabitants? Thx in advanced:thumbup:

tangs and angles

I have a 40b and like tangs and angelfish for their shape and size. Are they any other large fish I could get in my tank with peaceful tankmates. aka (peaceful).
I know about dwarf angelfish but I think they would harass my fish:cry:
