Help is my bta dying??

Got my bubble top two days ago was doing well blew a fuse and 2 mins later everything was running again since the my bta looks horrible deflated and mouth open any advise???

Hello everyone,

I have started up a 20 Gallon Long tank a few months ago that is doing great. I have about 25-30 lbs of live rock, 15 lbs of sand, a SunSun Hw302 264GPH Pro Canister Filter, "Lee's" Protein skimmer, a SunSun JVP-110 528-GPH wavemaker for some extra current, a PVC pipe hidden amongst the live rock and some chaeto that I scattered between some of the live rock for extra filtration and to lower nitrates (I don't have a refugium or sump....yet). The inhabitants included around 10 different snails, 10 different hermit crabs, a chocolate chip starfish and a juvenile snowflake moray eel, around 7'-8'.














The reason I am creating this thread is to see what fish I could possibly add to this setup. First, let me say I am well aware the SFE will outgrow a 20 Gallon long in the future, which is why I purchased the smallest snowflake I could find so I have a decent amount of time before an upgrade. My plan was to upgrade to a 40 Gallon Long, a 50 or 55 and use the current 20 Gallon Long as a sump. Of course, I do not want to make the mistake plenty of beginners make by stocking their current tank based on what they are planning in the future, especially since I don't plan on upgrading for at least a year. I wanted 1-2 other fish max. I have visited or called around 5-6 LFS around me, and have been suggested a variety of different fish including Toby puffers, a coral beauty angel (or any other dwarf angel), a maroon or tomato clownfish, a dwarf lionfish, triggers and tangs. I'm pretty sure based on what I know a trigger or tang would quickly outgrow a 55 Gallon, so I can only imagine how quickly it would outgrow my 20 gallon long. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, especially those who have kept a snowflake moray in a community tank or are highly knowledgeable in this area.

Is this a tiny crab on my coral?

This little critter *and by little I mean it looks like a speck when not zoomed in* came on my favia brain frag. Upon arrival it was bright yellow but has since turned orange. Is he a danger to my corals? It seems to be eating something constantly. I'm slightly afraid that it may be the coral. Any help would be appreciated. Here is a video .. ok I cannot post a link because I have a 0 post count. Arrgh.

Extremely low dKH

I just set up a 36 Gallon tank a few weeks back and put some live rock in there and let it cycle for a while and used RO water. I now have two tomato clowns and some snails aswell as one shrimp. the dKH in my water is very low and I am trying to get the tank ready for corals. I use a few chemicals (Purple Up, Liquid Calcium and a few others I bought from Kent Marine. I have only used the Calcium once and the Purple Up once a night (only about 3 ml a night). Is their something I can do to raise my dKH? I am new to this and need a little guidance.

Rash on yellow tang

my yellow tang i noticed has a rash like thing by the spike on his fin so i need help diagnosing it then i need help on how to treat it i can't find any solid information on the internet about what to do and i was hoping you guys could shed some light on what to do

Need help identifying corals please

I am looking for some help identifying some corals and need to know if there is anything in particular i need to do to keep them living aside from having proper lighting and keeping water parameters in check.i have a new tank 75 gallons with new live rock 75 pounds.the lighting is a 4 bulb t-5 hood, each bulb is 54 watts, 2 being actinic blue and 2 being 10k white.in case it matters,my tank has not begun to cycle yet.i also have about 10 clams on the rock i was wondering the same for.....do i need to feed them anything in particular.very new to saltwater aquariums,so any help would be appreciated

I've decided to get rid of my tank and I need suggestions on how to do it...

So I'm to the point where I travel very often and I'm constantly looking for people to watch my tank while I'm gone. On top of that I just don't care for my tank like I used to and I'm not replacing anything if it dies. I just don't think I'm interested in the hobby enough to keep the tank anymore. I've been considering how to get rid of the livestock and ultimately the tank for months, but I don't know the best way. Do any of you have suggestions on how to go about it? Is it better to just see if someone wants to do a total tank tear down or try to sell everything individually? Normally I wouldn't mind selling the livestock piece by piece and then after everything is gone trying to sell all of the equipment piece by piece as well, but I don't want to be doing this for the next year or more. Has anyone out there done this before? What did you do?

I have a 93gal cube tank with all of the normal equipment (albeit upgraded, nicer equipment), 7 fish, live rock almost completely covered in coral of all types, and a small assortment of hermits and snails.
