My Fiji blue dot puffer has a white line that looks like a check mark on the side of it's face, this just appeared today. It seems normal otherwise, its eating and swimming. It has had what looks like an abrasion on its side for a couple weeks that has not gone away and now this white line. The white line does not appear fuzzy like ich or velvet. Any idea what this is? Photo attached. Thanks.

Frogspawn Losing Heads??
Hello,
I've had a frogspawn for a few months now. When I bought it it had four heads, one of them was dead (the LFS discounted it on account of that) but it seemed to be doing well otherwise. Over the first couple months, the second head on that same branch died, I chalked it up to someone wrong with the branch. A few days ago, the third head has now receded and died!
It seems to have tons of new growth on it, like it's about to sprout out more heads, and yet this one just died. Does anyone have a suggestion about what the culprit may be, or if it looks sickly in general? All tank parameters are normal, and the hammer I have looks amazing and healthy. Are those little branch looking things on the skeleton new growths, or something more sinister?

best large prize clownfish to be hosted
Im in the process of setting up my first ever reef system , which is 30 gallons
and i really want a single largish beautiful clown that will live on its own with an anemone , so am looking for some input on my situation.
Also could you possibly specify what anemone would be best considering i am a beginner in the hobby, and i wouldn't add the nem for up to 4 months in.
Thanks a lot

Petco selling unhealthy fish?
I recently went to petco to buy my first couple tank inhabitants- A small red sea star, 3 little hermit crabs, a damselfish, an emerald crab, and a snail. At first everything was good- everyone was getting along. Come to find about a week later, and my starfish appears to be decaying. Her limbs are falling off, although nothing has hit her central disk yet. We went into petco today to find another addition to the tank(we didn't notice the starfish until after we'd returned home) and most of the fish looked super unhealthy (fin rot, disease- none of the fish looked good, along with seeing dead fish in a tank). This isn't the first time we'd spotted dead fish in a tank there. We decided to just get a piece of liverock that was in a tank with a healthy wrasse in it. Since I still wanted a fish however, we went to Petland to see what they had. The fish there looked significantly healthier and there was a bigger variety. Of course, that meant the prices were higher. I was shocked at the difference in the tidiness of tanks. I will not be shopping at petco for any more fish - its not worth it. I don't think saltwater fish are their forte.
Tiny Aiptasia or Hydroid On Glass?
Hi All, Just found this little thing on my glass. I searched around the net but couldn't be 100% sure if these are the clear hydroids that many say will go away on its own, or the more harmful pests that I should get rid of immediately.
Attachment 121005
it didn't look like feather dusters and the tentacles look a bit too "brown" for comfort.
Thanks!
EDIT: its about 1/8th inch in size.

Clownfish question
Today I bought a single Blackfoot clownfish and was wondering how it will survive in my reef tank alone (not completely alone of course, I have a scooter blenny, starfish, and damselfish). Also if I will be able to get more different types of clownfish down the road. I want to get an occ. clown and maybe another blackfoot. I could only afford the one today, considering I also purchased a large peice of liverock.
My 600 Litre Tank and 110 Litre Quarantine Tank Set up
Just thought I would add some pictures and info about my tank/s and equipment.
My Tank has only been running for 4 Months.
Tank size 600 litre 100cm x 100cm x 60cm Yes I know it's tall but I wanted the height for the fish to use the height and the space I hand was limited as you will see in the pics.
My bottom tank with pump ect is 250 Litres.
Equipment in main display tank:
v2 ilumenair 900 Lighting.
x2 WP-40P Wave Makers
DCT-8000 Pump
Sun 500 Heater
Ozone UK Made not sure of the name also running carbon next to the sock only in a bag so trying to get the flow to go through the bag as best as possible.
Deltec SC 1456 Skimmer
D-D Reverse Osmosis
D-D TDS
D-D Refractometer
Quarantine Tank:
110 Litre Cube 50cm 50cm x 50cm
Vecton UV sterlizer
300 Watt Heater
Cristal Profi 90 Filter
Fluval air line with stone
Ignore the wire mess I had to get it all running for the Foxface but I will be tidying it once he is out.
Stock in My tank:.
20 KG of Live Rock
X1 Dracula Goby
X1 Tiger Watchman Goby
X1 FireFish
X1 FileFish
x2 Fairy Wrasse
X1 Magnificent Foxface(Currently in QT tank)
x1 Tiger Pistol Shrimp(Only see every so often about 4 inches long and not paired with goby lives under live rock and just digs all the time)
CUC
x7 Red Legged Hermits
X7 Snails(Plus loads of babies all over refugium and in main tank arghhh)
X1 Serpentine Starfish(Only seen some nights lives under some live Rock)
x3 Blood Red Shrimp
The Dracula Goby only comes out for feeding, and at night he sits on the bottom watching everybody, the Tiger Goby is out all the time digging and has picked a small cave which he digs out spits sand everywhere!.
My Foxface was in a bad way when I got him, so I built an acrylic 110 Litre quarantine tank
which he has been in for around 2 weeks now and he looks a million times better, He is eating well
I think he came from someones tank that they were breaking down, but the LFS I go him from would not tell me
he is about 6" in size and all the ones I have seen in my local LFS are about 2-3 inches.
Some fish I would like in the future are.
X2 Clown Pair
X2 Cardinals
X1 Puffer or Trigger
X1 Tang last or Course....
and in about a year when my tank has a bit more age to it maybe a pair of Dragonettes.
I will add some pics...
